The role of art in our life (composition)

  1. The role of art in our life.
Art is long, life is short.

What is art? To my mind It is soul of mankind, creative comprehension of life and world. The role of art is very important in our life.

Art is everyday component of our life. Our speech is art, because we build up sentences, choose definite words, use suitable intonation to express our emotions. The sentense: 'I love you' without art would be colourless.
Art moulds our inner world. People brought up on films about violence and sex become cruel and angry. Wonderful music, classical literature bewitch and give rise to positive feelings, kindness and tenderness. Art brings up people.
Tnanks to art we are developing and perfecting. People try to understand works of geniuses, who have their own vision of world. Everybody should want to see the beauty and try to understand it.
From the works of art we can learn about our history. Surikov, Repin, Leonardo da Vinci,Titian are well-known for painting mythological and hystorical subjects.
Art decorates our life. We visit theatres, museums, galleries to get enjoyment, good feelings ant to relax.

Art is everlasting because it adds beauty and kindness in our world. Without art our life will be dull, colourless and depressing.

  2. There are many conceptions of art, and of its role. Art is defined much more broadly than most people realize. Let’s consult Wikipedia. It says Art is the product or process of deliberately arranging items (often with symbolic significance) in a way that influences and affects one or more of the senses, emotions, and intellect. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and paintings.

Well, art is an all embracing notion. On this basis one can conclude that art is all around us in one form or another, it’s a vital part in life of mankind. From the houses we live in (architecture) to the performance we see (theatre) to the books that we read (literature).
It’s important to note that art has great influence on our souls, feelings, our moral values. Art makes us think of the sense of life, what is the real beauty, what is love - the eternal questions. Art develops our personality, our outlook and definitely good taste, in other words enriches our inner world. Moreover, art has a great educational significance. By dint of art people comprehend history of the preceding generations, their lifestyle, life conditions, interests, habits, events etc. On the one hand, art reflects the world; on the other hand, it allows us to evade from monotonous routine of the world. I can’t but quote a French poet Guillaume Apollinaire “Without poets, without artists, men would soon weary of nature's monotony”.

  3. Since ancient times art played an important role in people's life. Even when there wasn't such a word "art". First primitive drawings, sculptures, dances, tales appeared as a part of a ritual for some religious purpose. Remember shaman rituals in tribes and paintings and bas-relief on walls of ancient pagan temples...

As human being developed, the sense of such practice changed. It served now society's entertainment. People considered then cult-served works as works of ART - something beautiful, valuable, important not only as a tribute to god.
Now art is, first of all, a way to express individual's feelings, talent and a way to tell the world his own opinion. And we, as willing audience, are ready to accept it and interpret in our way. It's always extremely interesting to touch other's soul and mind.
Art, first of all, is humanity. And all other purposes of art serve this important aim. We adore stunning Leonardo canvases, observe perfect lines of Michelangelo sculptures, cathedrals, effusively read wonderful classics, listen to touching melodies...

Art has many faces. And we need to touch everything to be called contemporary active and feeling people.

  4. I want to begin with the meaning of the word-art: it is the product or process of deliberately arranging items in a way that influences and affects one or more of the senses, emotions, and intellect. So we see that this term is too broad. And it is impossible to live without it, because art includes practically everything in our life – books, pictures, photos, films, flowers in bouquets and so on.
I think it is very important to accustom a child to art since it’s childhood. Art teaches to realize what is beautiful and what is ugly helps to create your own sense of taste. It makes you have even your own opinion. Art develops our imagination. It makes us feel everithing.
So we see that the role of art in our life is priceless. We can’t name ourselves – people if we don’t love and know art. Because our life consists of art and it influences us greatly.

  5. Art reflects life, so the saying goes. Real, live art appeals to our hearts and minds, to our feelings and ideals and it proclaims life. Art is truthful only when it serves life, and only when the artist hopes to arouse a warm response in the heart of the viewer.
Art belongs to the people. One can find and study masterpieces of old and modern art in various picture galleries and museums. There are nearly a thousand museums in Russia, some of which are world famous. The largest collection of Russian art is the Tretyakov Art Gallery in Moscow - a real treasury of canvases by prominent Russian painters and contains priceless collections of icons, paintings and sculptures dating from the 15th century as well as contemporary Russian painting and sculpture. One of the largest and most remarkable museums of the world is the Hermitage in St Petersburg. More than three hundred halls hold its exhibitions of inestimable artistic value. The museum's collections are comprised of the work of various periods in the development of art, from ancient times up to the present day. Famous painters from different countries are represented there. The Russian Museum in St. Petersburg is another picture gallery which contains the richest collection of Russian paintings of 18-19th centuries and the best collection of Russian sculpture. In the Pushkin Museum of the Fine Arts in Moscow the art of the Ancient East and Western Europe is represented. This museum possesses a unique collection of copies of the finest sculptures of antiquity. It is in this museum that many famous foreign expositions of the Fine Arts are displayed every year. I think first of all we should study the history of our art, yow the masterpieces unique collections were created, it would be useful for understanding the role of art in our life.

  6. Art is an essential part of our life. We may say that art makes our life less boring and less ordinary and it gives impact to our emotions. You can hardly imagine your day without art. So you walk in the streens and there are a lot of beautiful architectural bildings round you. Once you turn on television and there are also lots of visual arts. We can hear music anywhere we go and it all influences our mood. So even when the person doesn't visit any theatres, museums or galleries it doesn't mean that there is no place of art in his life.
Art is like a mirror of our life. It reflects every important turn and imprints it for future generations in pictures, photos, songs, movies, architectural bildings. So if we return to the times that were many centures ago we can remember that the first manifestation of art were paintings on the walls of ancient caves. And it is still to my mind the most understandable kind of art with help of which we can get the whole picture of last centuries.
Art makes us think of the sense of life, how people must live, what is ideal of beauty, what is love. So it forms our outlook and enriches our inner world. Also art helps us to understand the world round us and each other.

  7. Art. There are many definitions of this small word. It has millions of branches.
I’d like to illuminate photography art. Photography is the art, science, and practice of creating still pictures by recording radiation on a radiation-sensitive medium, such as a photographic film, or electronic image sensors. Photography uses foremost radiation in the UV, visible and near-IR spectrum (W).
At first, photography was used by amateurs to preserve memories of favorite times, to capture special moments, to tell stories, to send messages, and as a source of entertainment. Nowadays photography has become a sort of available art. People make pictures of landscapes, nature and animals.
Exhibitions of famous photo artists are organized around the world.( AJ Marcella Gallery
    Aggie Villanueva Gallery
    Alan Adams Gallery
    Alan Hausenflock Gallery
    Alessandro Terzi Gallery
    Antony Roloff Gallery
    Barry Vangrov Gallery)

The popularity of photo art is conditioned by the development of tourism, internet and technical progress. There are online galleries at http://www.visionlightgallery.com/artists.cfm
http://www.art.com/photostoart/ Watch it, maybe you will find something for you.
Things around us are wonderful, just open your eyes. )

  8. If you ask me, I believe that our society can't exist without art. We may like it or dislike it. We may enjoy it or we may criticize it. But, one thing we can not deny - it's a great emotional and cultural influence it has over great masses of people. The art is more complicated matter than just painting, for example. For example, the cinema. Vladimir Lenin spoke of it as "the most important of all types of art." And it's indeed really so. The art reflects our everyday social problems, which we are handle of and overcome to make our lives better and to improve our society, to fill it with extra-cultural people.

  10. Art heals.

I ‘have started my composition from these words not in vain,. Remember, Frida Kahlo, at least. How much pain she had to endure in life. The accident, betrayal of her husband. How earnestly she expressed her feelings, how desperately she fought for them and how suffered, inking a huge canvas, as if pouring on him all her despair, all her pain. After all, the artist is the same musician that pours out his pain in rows of new songs. And an artist, though he draws not with the help of his hand, but he draws out his soul, his heart.

People of art are absolutely from another planet, aren’t they? That’s what do you think? No, it isn’t so. The only difference that with difficulties of life they cope with the help of a canvas. White and clean like creating their own story again, from scratch.

In psychology, there is such a therapy of paints, when patients are offered to draw what they feel and then they must tear their picture, in order to tear the bond with all the bad that gnaws them so. This is called art therapy.

Group of Italian researchers has found that painting is able to alleviate pain.
The experiment showed that the pain of both men and women is reduced by 3 times when viewing the beautiful paintings to them. Works of Botticelli and da Vinci topped the list of effective analgesics.

The essence of art therapy consists in that patient transfers to paper or canvas the emotions, memories, fears and hopes. Of course, the level of artistic talent in this case does not matter. It is important that the patient can, express feelings through the visual arts, to recreate something that is traumatic and leads to disease and perhaps to find ways to fight and recovery, or at least improve the patient's condition.

Art therapy not only helps in curing mental disorders, but also in dealing with interpersonal and intrapersonal issues. It can help identify the hidden potential in people and realize its capabilities. Art therapy is recommended for use in their work with patients of any gender and age - of course, if it can be useful in their disease.

The proof that the art heals has been already demonstrated by Mozart compositions. When listening to it 3 times a week it has helped to reduce the pressure for people with hypertension. Moreover, recommended earlier recording of noise waves and sounds of nature didn’t give such an effect.

So that the artist is an ordinary person who is experiencing some internal alarm and finds healing in the painting. He must necessarily feel any emotion whether it is bad or good. You cannot create a masterpiece just like that, out of nothing.
It is important and necessary for the artist to get his portion of sufferings in order to get recognition by drawing a masterpiece. After all, people are often experiencing the same pain, and when you see that someone is suffering just as you see it in the picture, you feel better.

  11. As I am a humanitarian girl,I can't imagine our life without art. And as we live in rather cruel and cynical world, I am sure that every person on the Earth should have a possibility to express himself, to leave himself, his soul in his work and to claim something to the society.
Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci, Fedor Rokotov,Karl Briullov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Valentin Serov..I can continue to the eternity. All this famous painters left their footsteps in the world-wide history of art.Andrey Rublev... How big his contribution in the russian culture is!
I understand and enjoy the widespread hobby - collecting of paintings, I think that it's just more interesting and useful then collecting cars, for example. You can really get a lot of positive emotions, examing one painting, that is painted with soul and with the message.
